14:00 – 15:30 Dizzy Workshop – Understanding and managing vestibular dizziness: a comprehensive approach
Vestibular dizziness presents as a common yet often challenging condition in clinical practice, impacting patients’ quality of life and overall function. This workshop offers a deep dive into the pathophysiology, diagnostic process, and evidence-based management strategies for vestibular dizziness. Designed for medical professionals, the session will provide practical insights into differentiating vestibular from non-vestibular causes, interpreting patient symptoms accurately, and applying effective therapeutic approaches.
Key workshop highlights include:
• Overview of the vestibular system’s anatomy and physiology
• Identifying and classifying types of vestibular dizziness
• Diagnostic tools and tests, including bedside assessments and imaging techniques
• Treatment protocols, from pharmacologic management to rehabilitation strategies
• Case-based discussions and hands-on practice with manoeuvres for common vestibular disorders (e.g., BPPV)
Join us to expand your understanding and improve patient outcomes through an integrative approach to vestibular dizziness management.
Organizers: Cristina Goanta, M.D. PhD; Cristina Zugun Eloae, M.D.
